Hotel Casa del Mar, an Edward Thomas Collection property, announces the appointment of Max Jonas as general manager of this iconic luxury beach destination. Jonas will oversee the entire operation of the landmark and lead multiple department teams to ensure its continued success.
As an experienced hotelier, Jonas has held various positions at Firmdale Hotels over the past 17 years. Most recently, he was General Manager of the Crosby Street Hotel in New York and prior to that, Assistant General Manager of the Whitby Hotel.
Over the course of his career, Jonas has demonstrated impressive leadership skills, a thoughtful leadership style and an eye for detail.

Jonas is from Great Britain and lived in New York for 11 years, where he discovered an unexpected love for baseball. Together with his wife Maryna and daughter Zoe, he looks forward to absorbing all the cultural elements that the west coast has to offer.
