Gelson’s annual Christmas toy promotion returns to Santa Monica this week.

The toy campaign benefits disadvantaged children across the region and takes place in all 27 Gelson stores as well as internally at company headquarters and in the warehouse.

The toy containers in the Gelson stores are provided by the partner organizations as red garbage cans or as branded containers. The ride takes place December 1st through 19th at the Santa Monica Gelson.

Customers can request a list of recommended donations at their store’s front desk or at gelsons.com. Some partner organizations ask for online donations – visit their websites for more information.

“Brightening the holiday season for children and families in need across Southern California has long been a priority for us,” said Gelson President and CEO Rob McDougall. “We have a history of customer service that extends beyond our stores and into the community. This is our 70th anniversary and we look forward to continuing to work with our non-profit partners. We are grateful for the generosity of our customers and Gelson’s employees. ”

Partner organizations for the toy campaign are the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center, Toys for Tots, Promises 2 Kids, Miracles for Kids and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital and Long Beach.
