LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Los Angeles Dodgers Friday will be the first professional team to visit the White House as Masters since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the first with President Joe Biden in office.
The team will meet Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at 8:40 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time in the East Room.
The party will reportedly be limited to around 50 people due to COVID-19 protocols.
This marks the Dodgers’ first visit to the White House as World Champions since October 26, 1988, when the team met then-President Ronald Reagan six days after defeating the Oakland Athletics.
The visit coincides with the team’s four-game streak against the Washington Nationals.
