STREAM turns 7 – Santa Clarita Magazine

Award-winning 20 year old social entrepreneur Niamani Knight is the founder of STREAM Global Innovations, along with the organization’s president, her mother Nikia Richards. STREAM is a leading 501 (c) 3 nonprofit youth-owned organization that has been blending education and career opportunities in science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and manufacturing since 2015. The mission is to ensure that every student has equal access to education and career opportunities to create a world through innovation, education and collaboration where diversity and access are the norm, not the exception.
“When I was sitting in the classroom in October 2014 and after doing a lot of research, I began to see the growing trend that teenagers in underserved communities do not have access to education and career opportunities. I wanted to help change that, ”Knight said.
With like-minded communities and corporate partnerships in science, technology, reading, engineering, art and manufacturing, the organization has successfully served over 100 million people worldwide through interactive exhibits, industry experts, virtual activations and peer support to date.
Although its headquarters are locally located in Santa Clarita, ambitious but humble 20 year old founder Niamani and her innovative mother and president Nikia have made this vision of inclusion and accessibility of diversity a reality in all nations worldwide during the pandemic.
This Christmas season, STREAM Turns 7 is celebrating December 2nd at the Hyatt in Valencia with a special interactive experience and dinner where Niamani invites corporate partners, the community, artists and more to come together to make a difference. During the event, each guest will be asked to bring an unpackaged new toy that will be donated to deserving youth and their communities across Los Angeles County.
STREAM Global Innovations is a gift that will pass on beyond this upcoming special celebratory event. In addition, STREAM Global Innovations will work with California Highway Patrol to package and distribute the toys as gifts for families in 4 communities: Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles.
In partnership with Hyatt Regency, Lockheed Martin, Santa Clarita Magazine and others, STREAM Turns 7 is open to the public and ticket registration can be found at the link below. Please also go to the link if you would like to volunteer or sponsor the event: www.streamglobal.org/streamturns7
