SANTA MONICA, CA – It’s now mid-September, meaning the Halloween season has arrived – at least at the 1,400+ seasonal Spirit Halloween stores that have opened nationwide, including the one in Santa Monica.
All of the company’s stores in all states sell costumes, Halloween decorations, and accessories for children, teenagers, and adults. The Santa Monica store is at Former Performance Bicycle, 1316 Wilshire Blvd.

The shop enables online shopping by topic, so customers can filter costumes by TV show or film, among other things. Filters are also available by size, price, or rating.
Spirit Halloween has Harley Quinn, Stitch, and Fox costumes among their most popular purchases more than six weeks before the October 31st holidays.
Be aware of the local mask policy before entering Spirit Halloween stores or other brick and mortar stores, even if the coronavirus pandemic is past its year and a half. Include specific information about the state or municipality mask policy.
While Spirit Halloween does not specifically state that masks are required for vaccinated customers, all employees – vaccinated and unvaccinated – must wear face covers. The business also requires face coverings for all unvaccinated customers.
There are hand sanitizer stations at the entrance to the store and plastic shields are placed around the tills.
