June Davidson Obituary (1925–2022) – Waukesha, WI

June Elizabeth (nee: Chapleau) Davidson of Waukesha, passed away on Saturday 15 January 2022 at the Care-Age of Brookfield. Born on June 11, 1925, she was the proud adopted daughter of Charles and Elsie (née Karga) Chapleau.
June graduated from Waukesha High School in 1943, after which she worked as a secretary for the Quality Aluminum Casting Company for 9 years. She married Robert P. Davidson of Sussex on May 17, 1947. They moved to the San Fernando Valley of California for 9 years in 1954, where their two children were born. While in California, she worked as a secretary for Westrex Corporation in Hollywood until the birth of her children, after which she did volunteer work.
Returning to Waukesha in October 1963, June worked part-time at the law firm of Love, McGraw, Brown and Nettesheim until November 1972, when she began her full-time job with RTE-ASEA (currently SPX) as Human Resources Secretary. She retired as a benefits administrator on January 31, 1992. After her retirement, she worked through RSVP in the Waukesha Business Improvement District (BID) from October 1992 to November 2012. She was also a board member of the Waukesha Art Fest and for many years a member of the First United Methodist Church.
June was an avid Packer and Badger football fan, enjoyed watching golf on television, played cribbage and bingo with her Brookfield Highland friends, particularly enjoyed traveling with her friend Fran Kawatski, and was an avid reader. Her greatest joy were her two children, of whom she was very proud. June was a person who was always ready to help those in need.
She will be sorely missed by her children, Randolph Lee “Randy” Davidson, retired consulting engineer of Menasha, Wisconsin, and daughter Denise Ellen Davidson, DVM of Jupiter, Florida. She is also survived by her nephew Richard (Patty) Davidson of Central, South Carolina, other relatives and many friends.
