LA North Studios, a company providing sound stages for entertainment productions, has signed a pre-lease agreement for 113,400 square feet at the IAC Commerce Center in Valencia.
In recent years, the Santa Clarita Valley has become a major entertainment production hub, with more than 40 movie theaters and 10 film farms, according to the Santa Clarita Film Office.
The Newmark team of John DeGrinis, Patrick DuRoss and Jeff Abraham represented both the landlord IAC Properties and the tenant.
The completion of the new warehouse at 29051 Ave. Valley View address of the industrial park is imminent.
“Construction should be completed by the end of this month,” said Abraham. “The rain delayed it a little.”
The new lease for LA North Studios provides for 100 percent utilization of the IAC Commerce Center.
This lease also marks a fourth location for LA North Studios in Santa Clarita.
The other locations are on 25045 Ave. Tibbets, where LA North occupies 142,392 square feet of soundstage; 24834 Ave. Rockefeller, where it is 22,090 square feet; and The Center at Needham Ranch at 21401 Needham Ranch Parkway, where it occupies 113,640 square feet of movie production space.
