2 former LeBron James teammates the Los Angeles Lakers can sign

Even though LeBron James denies it, the Los Angeles Lakers make decisions based on what he and Klutch Sports Group want. If LeBron truly had no impact on the decision-making process like he is trying to say then Russell Westbrook wouldn’t be in Los Angeles right now.

LeBron and Klutch are likely trying to distance themselves from the decision-making process because the Westbrook trade was such a disaster. They can try and remove blame all they want but we all know how much influence LeBron and Rich Paul have.

LeBron is going to have a say in the free-agent process and after having several free agents who dropped the ball last season, the Lakers may look for free agents who have played with LeBron before and are comfortable with him.

If so, there are two former LeBron James teammates the Los Angeles Lakers could sign.

We have already broken down the four former Lakers that Rob Pelinka could sign this summer and any of those former Lakers who also played with LeBron will not be included so we do not double-dip.

Instead, we will look at the options on the free-agent market who played with LeBron before he was in LA. Obviously, the Lakers are restricting in who they can sign, so the options on the board may not be the most appealing.
