Youth volleyball coach arrested on suspected sexual battery – NBC Los Angeles

A 29-year-old youth volleyball coach was arrested on suspicion of multiple sexual acts and sex crimes against minors, Long Beach police said on Saturday.

A female youth contacted the police on November 30 to report that she had been inappropriately touched by Jerod Curtis, of Carson, who worked as a massage therapist on the 5800 block of Naples Avenue, Long Beach Police Department reported. This job is separate from his job as a youth volleyball coach.

Carson-born Jerod Curtis, 29, was arrested Friday on suspicion of multiple sexual offenses and crimes against minors, Long Beach police said.

Curtis is also suspected in two sexual batteries with adult female victims that occurred in July and November, police said.

He was arrested Friday and held in Long Beach City Jail on $ 225,000 bail.

Police detectives urged anyone who knows of other alleged victims to call them at 562-570-7321 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
