A woman was hospitalized after a shooting in Simi Valley, authorities confirmed on Tuesday evening.
Officers were called to Yosemite and Los Angeles avenues around 7:45 p.m. to get a report on a woman armed with a knife, Cmdr said. Steve Shorts, a spokesman for the Simi Valley Police Department.

At some point, officials hired the woman, and there was a shooting with officials, said Shorts.
She was transported to a local trauma center, he said.
