Riley Youth Foundation’s 4th Annual Fundraising Gala

The Riley Youth Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering and motivating youth through mentoring, fitness, sports, dance and educational programs, will host its fourth annual fundraiser gala “Golfing ‘Fore Good” at the new Topgolf in El Segundo. All proceeds will advance the mission of The Riley Youth Foundation and support the next generation of strong leaders. Inspired by the life of US Air Force veteran and Santa Monica police officer Rashad A. Riley, the foundation was founded by his wife, Maya, following his untimely death in April 2019. Hosted by award-winning singer Ranella Ferrer, additional special guests include former NFL player Marcellus Wiley, world-champion sprinters and twin-sisters Mikele ‘Mike’ Barber and Me’Lisa Barber, former professional boxer Zab Judah and more. ETHOS Film Awards & Festival

The ETHOS Film Awards comes to Santa Monica in November. Official selections will be presented on an online platform starting on Nov. 1. All finalists will screen at the renowned Laemmle Monica Film Center or their co-producing partner facility at Santa Monica College’s Public Policy Institute as part of ETHOS’ live screenings and special event schedules with special guests and panelists from Nov. 10 to 13. Festival organizers pick circa 150 projects to screen and present 20 awards for genres that are atypical of other awards—with judges looking at outstanding achievements in film and written work in various categories. The kick-off Hollywood event will be held on Nov. 9. Opening weekend (Nov. 10 & 11) includes two red carpet special events. Wine Dinner at The Tasting Kitchen

The Tasting Kitchen has a special wine dinner featuring two of the best wineries from Piedmont, Italy; La Mesma and Olek Bondonio.
