Thousands of runners will be heading from Dodger Stadium to Santa Monica for the 2021 Los Angeles Marathon early Sunday morning.
This year’s 26.2 mile route takes runners south from the stadium to downtown Los Angeles, west to Santa Monica, and then back to the finish in Culver City. Along the way, you’ll pass some well-known Los Angeles tourist attractions.
The route, known as the Stadium to the Stars course, also runs through Echo Park, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood, and Brentwood.

The gates at Dodger Stadium open at 3 a.m. Participants in wheelchairs start at 6:30 a.m. Elite women follow 15 minutes later, then elite men and the entire field follow at 6:55 a.m.
The roads on the route are already closed at 4 and 5 a.m. They are opened again after passing the runners. Nearby motorway entrances will also be closed.

The ramps on Freeway 405 southbound will be closed on Santa Monica Boulevard and Wilshire Boulevard east and west from 4:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Ramp 405 going west to Wilshire Boulevard will also be closed.
