The Silicon Valley-based children’s programming school is expanding across the Golden State

Change the World. “- Opens its first Santa Monica site for face-to-face and virtual learning. The new school, located at 2411 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, one block from Douglas Park, is due to open on September 18th.

As part of its opening, the new school is offering a free hour long session and 40% off the first month of programming for those who attend the opening event on Saturday September 18th.

The new school is owned and operated by Teddy Amkie, who was born and raised in Beverly Hills and currently lives in Santa Monica. He is currently co-founder and CTO of custom software and web development company, Stonecastle Development, Inc. He also previously owned and operated a musical instrument manufacturer and an F-16 flight simulation center. Amkie is no stranger to CoderSchool as he was a code coach at the Walnut Creek site and head of the Pleasanton school. Looking back on his previous roles with the brand, he enjoyed instilling a passion for programming in new students and learning difficulties. Amkie looks forward to more of these experiences by opening his own theCoderSchool for his Santa Monica community.

“I’m incredibly excited to bring the CoderSchool experience to my local community,” said Amkie. “I love teaching programming to the next generation, and that’s the main reason I decided to start my own school with the brand.”

TheCoderSchool was founded by Hansel Lynn and incubated with the help of his best friend Wayne Teng. theCoderSchool uses a variety of platforms to teach various programming languages ​​like HTML, CSS, Python, Javascript, and more. Each Code Coaching lesson is customized with the help of trained Code Coaches® who use a 2-to-1 approach to teaching.
