A long police chase on Freeway 5 resulted in a terrible accident in Lincoln Heights.

THE ANGEL – A long police chase on Freeway 5 resulted in a terrible accident in Lincoln Heights.

SkyFOX was on top of the chase scene when the suspect – a woman who drives a black GMC pickup truck – led officers on a chase into parts of Newhall, Arleta, San Fernando Valley, Los Feliz and Lincoln Heights on Tuesday evening.

Shortly after 7 p.m., the GMC crashed into a large truck and hit one of the partitions on the freeway.

A GMC pickup leads CHP on a chase through Los Angeles County.

The emergency services on site pulled the driver out of the GMC minutes after the accident. The condition of the driver is unknown at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, but one of the rescue workers was spotted giving CPR to the driver on site.

The driver was initially wanted for omission.
