AGOURA HILLS, CA – Beautiful scenery, a classic Christmas movie, an old school drive-in theater, and, if you’re lucky, a great date. How can you celebrate Christmas time better?
The Santa Monica Mountains Fund and the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce are hosting a drive-in showing “Love Reality” on Saturday at Paramount Park.
The gates will open at 3:30 p.m. at 2903 Cornell Road, but the program doesn’t start until 5:00 p.m. The event will feature a tour of the Paramount Ranch, snacks, a raffle and light shopping, according to the Conejo Valley Chamber website.
The event costs $ 35 per car. The proceeds will go to the Paramount Project, which will rebuild and restore the Paramount Ranch.
Paramount Ranch is a film industry historic site; It was founded in the 1920s and has been the production site for many films. It was a community staple until it was severely damaged in the 2018 Woolsey Fire, according to the Conejo Chamber website.
The restoration is expected to cost the Santa Monica Mountains Fund $ 12 million, and the federal government will offer individual donations of up to $ 500,000 as the US National Park Service is involved in the restoration.
Register for the movie night or donate through this website.
