The Los Angeles model was found dead outside the hospital and the family say she was drugged and dumped

Two young women in Los Angeles were drugged and left to die outside of hospitals over the weekend, according to their families.

Christy Giles, a 24-year-old model and aspiring actress, was found dead outside a hospital around 5 p.m. on Saturday, KABC reported. Her friend, designer Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, was barely found alive in front of another hospital two hours later.

Cabrales-Arzola is in critical condition and is fighting for her life, according to GoFundMe.

The two women went out together Friday night and ended up in an apartment in West Los Angeles, Giles’ husband Jan Cilliers told KABC. The last message Giles sent was a text message to Cabrales-Arzola around 5:30 am on Saturday: “Let’s get out of here.”

Giles’ body was discovered on the sidewalk outside Southern California Hospital in Culver City, according to KABC. Cilliers said he saw a video of three masked men in a car with no license plate dropping their bodies.

Cabrales-Arzola was found in front of Kaiser Permanente Hospital in West LA, about two miles away, KABC reported.

“(Cabrales-Arzolas) toxicology report came back and I think they found heroin in their system, which is not something any of these girls would ever do, not voluntarily,” Cilliers told KABC. He was visiting his father in San Francisco over the weekend.

Los Angeles police said a preliminary investigation suggested a fatal overdose, the station reported.

“This story is by no means unique,” says GoFundMe. “Since Saturday we’ve all received a number of messages from other women who have eerily similar stories, except that the only difference between them (and) Christy and Hilda is that they survived.”
