God of War offers so much story, gameplay, and world-building to make it a rich action game in PlayStation’s strong catalogue. The story taking Kratos into the world of Norse Gods adds a new, freezing cold twist for him to have more development than before while killing new types of enemies.
Since Sony Santa Monica’s first venture into Norse mythology is available on PC, it means modders have taken advantage of the opportunity to create all sorts of interesting things. The Leviathan Ax became one of the last generation’s most iconic weapons, and even today, it is a standout. There are not many games that have something as satisfying as throwing an ax into an enemy and then calling it back to deliver the same feeling we have seen on the big screen with Thor in the MCU.
What if you replaced it with a stick? God Stick removes the blade, so Kratos is just beating creatures and Gods to death with a piece of wood with some decals, like the jewels embedded in it.

The years have gone by between the last two God of War games, so Kratos has gotten older with a new outfit. For a character who has been a PlayStation mascot since 2005, people are quite fond of his old-school PS2 look.
Skirt of Kratos and Blade of Athena brings back that aesthetic. Kratos looks younger and has his old goatee. His tattoo is less faded, so the red pops more. He wears his old skirt with the red and yellow pattern, just as if he had gone from home to this new land.

Every console has its mascots. They are identifiable for various reasons, from their armor, personality, and tattoos. With Kratos, you can point to his blades, the Leviathan axe, or the tattoos across his body that make him easily recognized in any lineup of video game characters.
The blue tattoo mod does what it sounds like; it turns Kratos’s red tattoos into blue ones. It feels more fitting for the Norse setting, so if he wanted to blend in further, maybe this would be helpful. Regardless, if your favorite color is blue, you should be happy, even if the god is not.

When you collect certain items or upgrades, a card pops up on the screen. When it appears, it pauses the game to notify you and can be a bit sluggish. It gets worse when you have multiple item cards to go through from chests offering plenty of goodies for Kratos and Atreus.
This mod makes them less annoying by making the pop-up faster. By speeding it up, you can skip through it quicker and get back to slaying monsters. Although it does not take up too much time, it still puts you back in to find more treasure, kill creatures, and bicker with your son.

Christopher Judge is Kratos. His voice is a large part of what makes the character. With so many lines of dialogue, he has to say, there were bound to be ones that got removed for various reasons, and God Of Dad Jokes brings these back.
So, does he really tell dad jokes? you bet In one instance, early in the game, Atreus messes up hunting by firing too quickly. For those who have played, it might ring a bell. While Kratos scolds his son, Atreus apologizes. Kratos responds with, “Hi, sorry, I am dad.” A classic joke right there. Thankfully, there is plenty more where that came from. If you download any mod at all, this should be your top priority to download.

Turn Kratos into Darth Maul with this retextured skin. While he does not have a plethora of horns on the top of his head, he has a red and black pattern across his body. Since Kratos already has a red tattoo, it is not too much of a stretch that he would have a midlife crisis and do this to himself.
