At around 5:30 am on Wednesday, December 22nd, SMPD officials responded to Neilson Way regarding a suicide. In front of the main lobby of an apartment building, the officers discovered a deceased person on the floor. The officers learned that the man jumped from a unit on the top floor. There was no evidence of foul play and on-site investigations revealed that it was an apparent suicide.
