After a long absence from Twitter, Trevor Bauer, pitcher of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has returned. He quoted tweets from fans and thanked them for their support as he tried to get away from the allegations against him. But not everyone on Twitter is so ready to forgive and forget.

This was the case with a message that Bauer Zitat tweeted on Thursday. It was one he really should have looked out for before saying he wanted to make life easier for other players.

Trevor Bauer, the Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, might want a do over

At first glance, it looks like a simple compliment. Bauer is known for his videos and experiments on YouTube while interacting with fans on social media. He has been at the forefront of using places like Twitter to interact with baseball fans, regardless of the team.

But that’s a tweet that Bauer would have taken a closer look at. The capital letters spell out a message regarding the Dodgers’ pitcher that he probably wouldn’t appreciate. Even those who spend as much time on Twitter as Bauer can miss a subtle attempt at trolling.

Nobody should really be surprised to be targeted online. Bauer’s own behavior on Twitter has been questioned in the past, and due to his ongoing legal troubles, some may think it’s an open season. There is likely a lot more open messages he received or tagged in in response to his tweets.
