The Valley InterCommunity Council this week gave away essential item packages for elderly residents of the San Fernando Valley at the Bernardi Senior Citizens’ Center in Van Nuys.

Many seniors have faced particular challenges during the coronavirus pandemic and the need is great, nonprofit officials say.

VIC oversees the operation and management of four multi-purpose older adult community centers in Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, Pacoima and Northridge.

VIC promotes wellbeing and provides nutritionally balanced meals to older adults and their families and carers throughout the valley.
