Santa Monica’s ‘Nepotism Baby’ School

SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica is known for many things — a popular beach, the world-famous pier and other tourist attractions — but it’s also home to Crossroads School, a private K-12 institution known for providing education to the children of celebrities .

Crossroads is a top-rated school for arts and sciences and has had many nepotism babies, as the internet has coined them, come out of the school according to a report from Vulture. A total of 11 notable children from famous families attended the school.

Tuition for the school is $38,002 for the highest grade offered and every child who graduates from Crossroads goes on to attend a four-year college, according to Niche.

Famous graduates include Maude Apatow, Zosia Mamet, Kate Hudson, Jack Quaid, Jonah Hill, Charlie Hall, Maya Rudolph, Live Tyler, Gwyneth Paltrow and the two Deschanel sisters. While many have debated whether the school has become oversaturated with these famous kids, Crossroads still seems to be a popular and classic choice.

Crossroads isn’t the only destination for nepotism babies though, other schools in Los Angeles also made Vulture’s list of schools that celebrities send their kids to.

Harvard Westlake in LA, the top private school in the state, also provided education to 11 famous kids. Tuition for the school is a whopping $42,600 and it has a 100 percent graduation rate according to Niche.

Nepotism babies who went to Harvard Westlake include Lily Collins, Billie Lourd, the Gyllenhaals, Emily Deschanel (who also attended Crossroads), Cody Horn, Ethan Peck, Jessica Capshaw, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Sierra Canyon, located in Chatsworth, was the third LA school in the list. Seated at number five on the list for best boarding high schools in the state, four children of the stars have been taught there.

Tuition is pricey at $40,770 and Sierra Canyon also has a 100 percent graduation rate.

Vulture said this is the go-to school for reality TV stars and sports players. Their basketball team is full of offspring of NBA greats including Zaire Wade, Scotty Pippen Jr. and Bronny James (who also attended Crossroads).

Outside the sports realm, Ireland Baldwin, Kylie and Kendall Jenner and Willow Smith also attended Sierra Canyon.
