SANTA MONICA, CA — The City of Santa Monica announced it will hold the annual State of the City event on Feb. 7, 2023.
This year’s virtual event will be live-streamed on Santa Monica’s official YouTube channel and will address priority areas such as homelessness, a safe and clean community and equitable economic recovery.
“Our annual State of the City is an important moment to come together as a community as we reflect on the previous year and what’s on the horizon,” said City Manager David White.
Recently, community safety was called into question in the form of a controversial banner hung at a shop on the 3rd Street Promenade. According to the city, White and Mayor Gleam Davis will look to address safety concerns at the virtual event.
Along with discussions about the community priority areas, the State of the City will also include highlights from 2022 in the city. The event will air live on CityTV Channel 16 and YouTube at 5:30 pm
“I’m excited to join Mayor Davis as we share all the ways the City is working to make Santa Monica an incredible place to live, work, and visit. Join us on February 7!” White said.
