Santa Monica College is holding two special fundraising drives for glass pumpkin sales this weekend.
The first SMC Glass Pumpkin Sale will take place on Saturday, October 9th, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. along with the Mini Fall Festival at Virginia Avenue Park at 2200 Virginia Avenue in Santa Monica. The proceeds from this sale will benefit the SMC Art Department and the Santa Monica Public Library Pico Branch. The Mini Fall Festival – sponsored by the City of Santa Monica, Virginia Avenue Park, the Santa Monica Public Library, the Santa Monica Farmers Markets, and Santa Monica College – features fresh fruits and vegetables, ready meals, and a variety of arts and crafts, as well as a craft workshop for Children of all ages, a pumpkin competition (once per family, while supplies last) and two SMPL Storytime sessions with Vanessa (English at 11 a.m., Spanish / English at noon).
The second SMC Glass Pumpkin Sale will take place on Sunday October 10th from 9am to 5pm at the Simon Meadow of Palisades-Malibu YMCA in Temescal Gateway Park at 15601 Sunset Blvd. (Corner of Temescal and Sunset), Pacific Palisades. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the SMC Art Department, the Palisades-Malibu YMCA and local artists. The SMC Glass Pumpkin Sales is a wonderful opportunity to purchase handcrafted glass pumpkins in a variety of colors, styles, and sizes. Each pumpkin is a truly unique work of art that can enhance home and office décor in the fall and make Christmas, anniversary, birthday and other gift wishes come true all year round. Founded in 1844, Palisades-Malibu YMCA is a nonprofit non-profit organization that offers recreational programs and family-friendly activities for all ages.
