Wings over Wendys: Veterans of all services and ages and their supporters meet every Monday of the month from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. Guest speakers scheduled for meetings. Blood Donation Ambassador for the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region: “Ambassadors” for blood donation campaigns receive and check in the donors, distribute preliminary donations, ensure that the donor receives a biscuit and a drink after the blood donation and keeps the reception area clean and full. American Red Cross Los Angeles Region: The organization calls for blood donations, especially blood donations, and gives out platelets. Find a donation page here and make an appointment: www.redcrossblood.org. Or call at 800-733-2767.

Bright Pink is brighter because of YOU: The national non-profit, focused on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer, announced a storytelling and fundraising campaign to honor women who have inspired others to make proactive health commitments. Participants will be asked to write a short story and video about an awardee and make a donation of any amount to Bright Pink. The submissions will be shown on the group’s “Bright HER” gallery wall.
