The Redondo girls basketball team trailed for the first three quarters of its game Tuesday against Santa Monica before rallying for a 47-41 Bay League win.
Ella Zimmerman led Redondo with 26 points. She also had eight rebounds and two blocks. Brillana Boyd and Chloe Choy had seven points apiece.
The Sea Hawks (8-10, 3-0) are the only undefeated team in the league. They play Peninsula on Friday.
CULVER CITY 65, PENINSULA 51: The Panthers (11-7, 1-2) suffered their second consecutive league loss.
Jadyn Lee had 24 points and 11 rebounds and Taylor Yee had 18 points for the Panthers. Yunji Kim finished with 11 rebounds.
The Panthers will look to get on track Friday against Redondo.
MIRA COSTA 65, PALOS VERDES 19: The Mustangs (13-5, 1-2) won their first league game.
Mira Costa wants to host Santa Monica Friday.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Nick Lundy scored 16 points to lead Mira Costa (17-1, 3-0) to a 73-39 win over Palos Verdes.
Preston Ezewiro and Dylan Black scored 11 points apiece.
The Mustangs will host Santa Monica Friday.
REDONDO 61, SANTA MONICA 55: Hudson Mayes scored 15 points in the Bay League win for the Sea Hawks (11-7, 2-1).
Redondo will host Peninsula Friday.
CULVER CITY 80, PENINSULA 57: Brayden Smith had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers (10-7, 1-2) in their loss.
BOYS SOCCER
MIRA COSTA 3, PALOS VERDES 2: Marco Bottene scored a pair of goals, including the winning goal in overtime, to lead the Mustangs (14-3-2, 3-0) to a Bay League win.
Goals by Ollie Knotek (65th minute) and Luca Dileva (72nd minute) gave the Sea Kings (6-5-3, 2-1) a 2-1 lead.
Mateo Cervantes had a pair of assists for Mira Costa and Thomas Temperley had a goal.
Mira Costa will host Santa Monica Friday and PV will host Culver City.
