Renovation of the former Sears building near Westfield Topanga shopping center began last year as part of a plan by the Parisian shopping mall giant to turn the 180,000-square-foot property into an upscale entertainment complex with luxury boutiques and restaurants.

The former Sears building was bought by Westfield in 2015 and remained idle for years until the company decided to convert it into a “new front door for the Topanga” mall, which includes approximately 340 shops and restaurants in 2.1 million square feet of retail space . including Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., and Lululemon.

The expansion is also due to open in the coming year.
