Xzibit, the rapper and former “Pimp My Ride” host, has put his San Fernando Valley-view home in upscale Porter Ranch on the market for $3.85 million.
The five-bedroom, 5,710-square-foot home with six bathrooms has a Mediterranean villa-style exterior and a contemporary interior. Glass walls disappear, extending the indoors outside on this quarter-acre lot in guard-gated Westcliffe.
Records show the rapper and actor, born Alvin Nathaniel Joiner in Detroit, bought the property in January 2017 for $2.436 million.
Completed in 2016, the home’s foyer leads to a floating staircase that climbs over a glass-enclosed, temperature-controlled wine room.
A combined family and dining room open to a gourmet kitchen, which features a large center island with breakfast bar seating, high-end appliances and a separate prep kitchen.
Upstairs is an additional lounge space.
The primary suite has a double-sided fireplace that separates the bedroom from the seating area. There’s a soaking tub under a window in the bathroom and a private view deck for taking in the views.
Backyard amenities include a pool and a cabana featuring a swim-up bar and an outdoor kitchen for grilling. A water wall adorns the separate spa.
Other highlights include outdoor living and dining spaces, a state-of-the-art sound system and smart home automation.
Kristina Theard and Emil Hartoonian of The Agency share the listing.
Xzibit, 48, launched his music career on the West Coast with his 1996 debut record, “At the Speed of Light,” featuring the single “Paparazzi.” He later hosted the MTV show “Pimp My Ride,” which was filmed in Corona and Van Nuys, and has appeared in film and television, including the hit Fox series “Empire” opposite Terrence Howard and Taraji P Henson.
