The fourth season of the Emmy-nominated series “Cobra Kai” will be released on December 31, 2021. With the upcoming season available for streaming in less than two months, Netflix is giving fans a taste of the new episodes.
‘Cobra Kai’ season 4 images have been released
On November 9th, People magazine published exclusive pictures from the fourth season of “Cobra Kai”. The first picture showed Johnny Lawrence (William “Billy” Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) shaking hands. The following picture shows those belonging to Johnny’s and Daniel’s shared dojo huddled in front of a door. The third photo was of Johnny imitating Daniel’s most famous karate move in front of his students. In the fourth picture, the unscrupulous sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove) is accompanied by his troubled friend Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) in a restaurant. The following picture shows Tory Nichols (Peyton List) versus Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) at the Cobra Kai Dojo in Kreese. The next snapshot showed Daniel sitting on the couch with his son Anthony (Griffin Santopietro). The last picture showed a new character, Kenny, played by Dallas Dupree Young, walking down a hallway while his classmates mock him for reasons unknown.
The official Instagram account of “Cobra Kai” has also uploaded two more pictures from season 4. One photo showed Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) in smart clothes in what appears to be a LaRusso house. Another snapshot showed Daniel and his wife Amanda (Courtney Henggeler) looking defeated at the kitchen table.
Terry Silver will be a main character in the fourth season of ‘Cobra Kai’
“Cobra Kai” Season 4 focuses on Daniel and Johnny overcoming their problems to help their students become the champions of the All Valley Tournament. During the season three finale, Kreese agreed to leave the San Fernando Valley if his students lose the karate tournament. To make sure Cobra Kai wins, Vietnam veteran contacts Terry Silver, who ruined Daniel’s life in “The Karate Kid Part III”.
During an appearance on the Cobra Kai Kompanion podcast in July 2021, Thomas shared with Ian Griffith that he was excited to repeat his role on the show’s fourth season.
“What got me back to say you know – going back after all these years, an acting role, you know, would that be the right one? And when you hear it, it’s like yes, that’s – there are such good, playable things that can get to your stomach that I really reacted to, ”said the 59-year-old.
During the Cobra Kai Kompanion podcast interview, Griffith stated that he enjoyed “Cobra Kai” before he was cast on the show.
“I was a fan before I ever thought I was going to arrive,” revealed the actor.
He then shared why he enjoyed watching the show.
“I just found it so smart, funny and warm. And you know, I just loved Billy’s character. And I thought Ralph was great. And the children as they brought the next generation with them. I was just like it was such a fun show, ”said the actor.
