One person was killed on Sunday when a vehicle overturned on the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway on Arlington Avenue in the West Adams district.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 6:06 am, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Firefighters discovered a single car traffic accident that locked a patient in,” Stewart said. “An extraction operation followed immediately and the fireman / paramedic contacted the patient to conduct an examination. Unfortunately, the patient was outside of medical help and was found dead on site. “
