Orchestra Santa Monica and Music Director Roger Kalia return with a special no-entry concert concert. The orchestra presents a first preview of its collaborative film *, “We Gather: Black Life in Santa Monica, told through music, pictures and stories”. Iain Farrington’s arrangement of Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 for 15 musicians is also performed, adding an intimate feel to the listening experience and revealing Mahler’s chamber-like writing as each musician is treated like a soloist.
For free; Advance ticket registration required; Proof of full vaccination and photo ID required at the door for entry; Visit the Orchestra Santa Monica website for program details, COVID logs, tickets and free parking information. https://www.OrchestraSantaMonica.org
