More than 50 Pasadena cats rescued from their homes – NBC Los Angeles

Many of the 52 cats and kittens Pasadena Humane rescued from a local owner who is hoarding them in unsanitary conditions will be looking for new homes this weekend, officials said Thursday.

Pasadena Humane provided the necessary medical care and gave the cats Christmas names to encourage residents to adopt the so-called “Christmas cats”.

Jolly, Merry, Jingle and their pals are spayed / neutered, vaccinated and chipped before going home with new owners.

“We count on the support of the community to help us find homes for the cats,” said Dia DuVernet, President and CEO of Pasadena Humane. “ If you can open your heart and home this holiday season, please consider adopting one of the Christmas cats. ”

The cats lived in the house and in a crawl space under the house, which the agency called a “hoarding situation”. The exact location has not been determined.

Pasadena Humane will also host a Winter Wonderland cat adoption event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Discounted adoptions are offered to all cats 6 months and older. No appointment is required.
