Michigan adds Hannah Bellard, Anna Boemer, Taylor Morris, Mattea Sokolow to Class of 2023

NEW COMMITS: The University of Michigan received four oral pledges for the 2023-24 season and beyond Hannah Bellard, Anna Bömer, Taylor Morris, and Mattea Sokolov.

She said about her engagement:

“I’m excited to announce my oral commitment to swim and study at the University of Michigan! A big thank you to my family, friends and trainers who supported me in this process !! Get blue! “

Bellard comes from Grosse Ile, Michigan, and is a member of the US national junior team. She does her club swim with Club Wolverine and competed in Olympic trials last summer before winning the 400m / 800m free run at Huntsville Futures. She attends Grosse Ile High School and is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.

  • 100 flies – 54.88
  • 200 free – 1: 48.80
  • 500 free – 4: 41.24
  • 200 back – 2: 00.66
  • 200 IM – 2: 06.76
  • 400 IM – 4: 25.74

She said about her engagement:

Born in Reading, Massachusetts, Boemer trains year-round at SOLO Aquatics and attends Reading Memorial High School. She took part in Olympic tests and took 13th place in the 100 m flying at the Speedo Summer East Championships. At that event, she also won bronze at Richmond Futures.

Morris swam for the TAC Titans and raced to eighth place in the Huntsville Futures last summer after making the finals of two events at the Greensboro Sectionals. A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, is a junior at Needham B. Broughton High School and won bronze in the 100 at the NC 4A State Championships his sophomore year.

Sokolow swims with the Santa Monica team at their club and was a five-time finalist at Santa Clarita Futures this summer, where her highest result was a fourth place back over 200m. She also won the 1500m Frei at the TYR 18 & U Spring Cup – Irvine. She lives in Santa Monica, California and attends Santa Monica High School, where she is an all-American swimming school in the United States.
