LA Councilmember Heather Hutt (CD 10), Brotherhood Crusade President/CEO Charisse Bremond Weaver and political consultant Ingrid Hutt represented the city of Los Angeles during 31StAnnual AIDS Walk & Musicfest on Saturday, September 24, in Atlanta, Georgia.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the world’s largest, non-profit HIV/AIDS service organization, sponsored the event featuring award winning rap artists, Wale and Trina, as the headliners. Wale and Trina join a diverse array of award-winning artists that have supported the annual fundraising event, including Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Monica, Sevyn Streeter, Raheem DeVaughn and Erica Campbell.

Bringing together thousands of attendees from across the southeast region, the annual event raises thousands of dollars in the fight against HIV/AIDS in the local Atlanta community. The 2022 benefitting organizations include: AID Atlanta, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, A Vision for Hope, Atlanta Harm Reduction Coalition, Center for Black Women’s Wellness, Georgia Equality, Jerusalem House, NAESM, Positive Impact Healthcare Centers, Recovery Consultants of Atlanta and THRIVE SS.

“This annual event offers a time to create a greater awareness of the impact of HIV and AIDS on the local Atlanta community, as well as an opportunity to bring together thousands of individuals from across the region to raise critical funds for these 11 worthy organizations, ” said Dawn Averill, AHF Atlanta regional director.

“AHF is proud to present this event as one of the many ways that we educate and empower the local community to join the fight against HIV and AIDS.”
