Los Angeles Chargers DE Breiden Fehoko had hilarious reaction to seeing his dad on jumbotron

Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Breiden Fehoko had a brilliant reaction to seeing his dad on the jumbotron during their recent preseason game.

When parents get involved in their kids sports, there are a number of ways that they can go. Take for example the Williams sisters in tennis, would they have been the same athletes that they are today were it not for the work that their father Richard put in to help them get there?

Then you have the kind of parents that help shape the legacy of the child because they were great athletes themselves, such as Peter and his son Kasper Schmeichel in soccer, Ken Griffey and Ken Griffey Jr in baseball, or Archie Manning with his sons Peyton and Eli in American Football.

Then you have the embarrassing parent type. And whilst most of that is kept to stuff that is done at amateur level, there are a few occasions where the parent might be taking the spotlight away from what their child is doing with their own antics. For that you need to look no further than LaVar Ball with his three sons Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo in the sport of basketball:

Although quite what category you want to put Breiden Fehoko and his dad into, is entirely up to you.

What happened?

Fehoko is trying to make a name for himself in the NFL, having gone undrafted after coming out of college in 2020, he signed with the Los Angeles Chargers and has bounced in and out of the practice squad during his first two years in the league, which explains why he has only managed to make 13 tackles so far in his professional career.

How many teams are there in the NFL?

16 24 32 36

Now entering his third preseason, it’s a chance for him to have a new slate and finally make that breakthrough into being a regular member of the team. However, during the Chargers’ preseason matchup with the Los Angeles Rams this past weekend, it was Fehoko’s father that arguably had the bigger moment.

In footage posted by the Chargers’ social media team, Fehoko’s father busted out the moves when his face appeared on the rather large jumbotron at SoFi Stadium, much to the delight of Fehoko himself, even if he was perhaps a little jealous of the limelight his dad got:

no, thats OUR dad now pic.twitter.com/XWF228r75i

Let’s just hope that Fehoko can make some plays in the preseason and make the team so he can do something in the regular season, otherwise he’s in danger of his dad becoming more famous than he is.
