LA Marathon 2021: What You Must Know and See

The 2021 Los Angeles Marathon returns on November 7th, debuting a new 42.2-mile route that is expected to attract thousands of runners from around the world.

The marathon’s new Stadium to the Stars route begins at Dodger Stadium, runs through West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and ends on Avenue of the Stars in Century City.

That means the course follows its traditional route to Brentwood, where runners return on San Vicente, Sepulveda and Santa Monica Boulevards before ending on Avenue of the Stars. Organizers say this will allow for a more interactive finish and greater audience participation.

Due to delays caused by the pandemic, the LA marathon will be held for the first time in November. And since this is a mega event, runners must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results in order to participate.

When does the marathon start?

The Main Event begins with the wheelchair start on Sunday, November 7th at 6:30 am, followed by the elite women at 6:45 am and the elite men and the entire field at 6:55 am

The participants of the Charity Challenge 13.1 start at 8:14 am.

Since daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on the same day, don’t forget that the clocks go back an hour.
