Los Angeles County residents will be asked to provide feedback on their parking and recreational needs in a series of virtual workshops and online surveys over the next month, officials said today.
The Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department uses equity lenses to identify, analyze, map, and document needs for parks, beaches, lakes, trails, natural areas, and open spaces. This includes the needs of parks in the rural Antelope Valley communities. , Santa Clarita Valley, Santa Monica Mountains, Santa Catalina Island.
“Parks are a public health and social equity issue and play an important role in supporting a resilient community across Los Angeles County,” said Norma Garcia Gonzalez, director of LA County Parks and Recreation.
