The 44-year-old rapper reportedly got into a physical altercation early Thursday after someone started filming him, police said.
The police responded to the crime scene around 3 a.m. Ye wasn’t there when the officers arrived, police said. The LAPD did not disclose any specific injuries from the altercation, and the individual involved has not been identified.
The “Hurricane” actor was named as a suspect in the case, but there were no arrests.
Ye’s representatives did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment.
