Everyone is getting into the holiday spirit and that includes us here at the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD). As the holidays continue, you will see an increase in officers throughout our shopping districts and surrounding residential areas on foot, on bikes, and in high visibility vehicles.
Now is the time for even more proactive crime prevention. SMPD is concentrating efforts and resources during the holiday season to help ensure a safe and joyous time while out and about. But, we need your help. You may have heard us frequently state the best way to protect your property is to “Take It. Lock it. Keep It.” We want to remind residents that you are an extension of the police department providing extra eyes and ears.
SMPD wishes you a happy holiday and looks forward to seeing you around town. And of course, if you see something, say something.
