‘Huluween’ to the Haunt Santa Monica Pier on Halloween Weekend – NBC Los Angeles

What you should know

  • October 30th and 31st, 12pm to 10pm
  • For free
  • The eerie activation will invite visitors into the creepy world of “Uluh”, a not so friendly ghost

Sometimes the ocean can reveal the scariest objects, from seashells with strange shapes to seaweed that looks like it first grew on a planet far away.

But at other times? Around the end of October, when the air gets incredibly fresh and the sun dips into the water earlier every day?

The ocean can reveal other eerie experiences, the kind of atmospheric scenes that can get particularly “atmospheric” when Halloween shimmers in sight.

Some of these scenes will shimmer over Halloween weekend, both on Saturday October 30th and Sunday October 31st when Huluween materializes on the Santa Monica Pier.

The thematic activation throws a somber but glamorous light on Hulu’s creepy shows and films like “Antebellum” and “The Evil Next Door” while also giving any soul brave enough to attend a seasonal thrill or two.

And this thrill in 2021? They come courtesy of a not-too-friendly phantom named Uluh, which is Hulu written backwards.

The “spooky and haunting experience” will pull people on the pier into “Uluh’s Mysterious World,” a distinctive travel destination that exudes tons of Tinseltown-style.

Do this style that is reminiscent of old Hollywood, a time and era that is already more than just a few atmospheric vibes.

There is also a photo box activation if you want to remember your time at the pier pop-up when the waves broke below and ghosts of the most glamorous kind frolic in an otherworldly dimension only on the pier for two Hulu haunted days .

It’s free to watch, but first come, first served.

Have you been to the Huluween 2020? That was a drive-in at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, but Huluween 2021 is a personal experience.
