Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers COVID-19 Lists

COVID-19 has run amok in the sports world. The NHL is taking an early winter break, the NBA has scabs, and the NFL is changing its season. With another new variant spreading around the world, this version is more portable, but with fewer symptoms, which is what we’ve heard everyone trying to find their way around.

The Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers will play this Sunday, with the Chargers flying to Houston. Both teams are ravaged by COVID-19, which kicks off the game this week.

The Texans currently have offensive keepers Lane Taylor and Justin McCray on the COVID list after missing the game against Jacksonville last week. They were joined by the linebackers Kamu Grugier-Hill and Christian Kirksey, the security guards AJ Moore and Terrence Brooks, cornerback Terrance Mitchell, the injured defensive end DeMarcus Walker, Jonathan Greenard and the practice team players Jaylen Samuels and cornerback Cre’Von LeBlanc.

Three more Houston Texans tested positive this week. Jacob Martin, Derek Rivers and Maliek Collins were recently added to the COVID list.

Houston may bring back those who sat last week this week, but Martin, Rivers and Collins are expected to face the Chargers this week.

The Chargers are bringing back Rashawn Slater, but recently placed Star EDGE defender Joey Bosa along with Kemon Hall, Chris Rumph, cornerback Tevaughn Campbell, former Texans kick-returner Andre Roberts, and launch center Corey Linsley on the COVID -List.

Chargers activated Rashawn Slater from the reserve COVID-19 list, urged Essang Bassey from Broncos waivers, put Joey Bosa, Kemon Hall, Trey Marshall, Chris Rumph, Tevaughn Campbell, Andre Roberts, Corey Linsley on the reserve COVID-19 -List

A team is not disabled. Both teams are as they each navigate their way through this global disease. Each team will play on December 26th at 12 noon. Hopefully more names can be crossed off this list and make it by Sunday.
