Girl, 7, shot dead at the Los Angeles intersection

LOS ANGELES, CA – A 7-year-old girl was hospitalized Tuesday night after being hit by a stray bullet at an intersection in South Los Angeles. The child is expected to survive their injury and investigators did not arrest a suspect in the shooting.

The girl was hit in the foot at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Central Avenue north of Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway, according to Sheriff’s Information Bureau’s Deputy Miguel Meza. At 8.45 p.m., deputies were called to the scene and came to find the wounded child.

She has been rushed to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood and is being hospitalized in stable condition, Meza said.

Authorities did not release any information on suspects and the shooting was further investigated Tuesday.
