This morning, August 7, 2021, at around 2:30 a.m., officers from the Santa Monica Police Department assigned to the Major Accident Response Team (MART) responded to a traffic collision involving a solo vehicle and a pedestrian near Main and Ashland were involved.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on site and cooperated with the officers. The unknown victim was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
