Expect metro delays in the San Fernando Valley

SHERMAN OAKS, CA – Metro G Line (Orange) could see delays starting Monday as the Metro embarks on an improvement project, according to The Source.

Crossing gates at Hayvenhurst Avenue pedestrian crossing will force the G-Line to turn onto Victory Boulevard between Balboa Boulevard and Woodley Avenue. The stops on Balboa Boulevard in both directions will be relocated from the Orange Line Busway to Victory Boulevard, and the stop going west on Woodley Avenue will be relocated to Victory Boulevard.

The work will be carried out on weekdays between 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. from Monday to November 19.

The tests are part of a G-Line improvement project that will last until 2026. The project will eventually give G-Line “railroad crossing gates” to make pedestrians safer, The Source reported.

The G-line just became the first 100% electric line in the district.
