After the fight at school, Robby is on the run and Miguel is in a coma, Sam is scarred by her fight with Tory, and Tory is expelled from school and put on probation for instigating the fight. Desperate after losing his dojo to John Kreese (Martin Kove) on Cobra Kai season 2, Johnny deals with his worries like he always does – he gets drunk and picks fights. When he’s done feeling sorry for himself, he heads to the hospital to see Miguel, despite Carmen pleading with him to leave. Eventually, Johnny makes it his mission to help Miguel walk again, and given his lack of experience as a physical therapist, he comes up with a series of crazy ideas to get Miguel back on his feet, including but not limited to lighting the boy’s shoes in Set fire and seduce him with adult magazines. When Carmen tells Johnny that her son is depressed, he decides to cheer him up with a good old fashioned 80’s rock concert with Dee Snider. Miraculously, Miguel begins tapping his foot to the beat of the music, which is the very first step in regaining his ability to walk.
Well, it’s one thing that they tricked the security guard at the club’s door into thinking Miguel was terminally ill and let him in out of pity. It’s a whole different thing when Johnny buys him a beer straight away and the two start crushing beers together. Miguel would be banged yet again for alcohol possession by a minor and Johnny would make another trip to the county for contributing to a minor’s delinquency.
