Corsairs win military recognition game over LA Valley – The

The Santa Monica College Corsairs Football Team played at Santa Monica College against rival LA Valley College for the Veterans Day weekend military appreciation game on Saturday, November 6th at Santa Monica College. The Corsairs were donated jerseys for today’s game by the American Legion of Santa Monica, California, which represent the military camouflage along with the school color blue.

The Corsairs, who had lost a streak of 2 games, left LA Valley touchdown after touchdown until time ran out when SMC stopped their opponents for the 31-28 win.

Quarterback Sam Vaulton (14) had a total of 181 yards with 3 interceptions and 1 touchdown and led the Corsairs to victory.

With a record of 3-4, the Corsairs will face Santa Barbara on Saturday, November 13th at 1:00 p.m.
