Community meetings bring people together to exchange ideas and unforgettable shared experiences. Here is a selection of meetings in the San Fernando Valley.

Wings over Wendys: Veterans of all services and ages and their supporters meet every Monday of the month from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. Guest speakers scheduled for meetings. Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Throughout the Cancer Experience – A Virtual Conversation: Simms / Mann-UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology will hold discussion for patients and caregivers, 3:30 p.m.-4: 30 p.m., Nov. 10. Speakers: Mark Buchanan, an ordained chaplain, and Greg Flaxman, a clinical social worker, moderated by Deepika Chopra, PhD.
