Chargers add three defensive backs to the COVID-19 reserve list

The Chargers’ virus problems continued Monday as defenders Chris Harris Jr., Nasir Adderley and Alohi Gilman were among the players put on the team’s COVID-19 reserve list.

They joined cornerback Michael Davis, who made the list after testing positive shortly before the Chargers’ 41-29 loss in Houston on Sunday.

The Chargers now have 22 players – 18 in the active squad and four in the practice team – due to COVID reasons.

In the group, Harris, Adderley and wide receiver Mike Williams will all miss the Chargers’ home game against Denver on Sunday, coach Brandon Staley said Monday.

Players who also missed the Texans defeat included starters Joey Bosa, Austin Ekeler, Corey Linsley and Justin Jones.

Also added to Monday’s list were offensive lineman Senio Kelemete, Edge Rusher Emeke Egbule and defensive lineman Andrew Brown.
