A well-known respected bank manager was found dead in her Reseda home on Thursday and the LAPD is seeking help from the public in identifying the person responsible for the murder.
LAPD officials responded at around 7 a.m. on Thursday morning in the 19300 block on Covello Street after family members of 48-year-old Michelle Avan were concerned that they could not reach them.
Authorities say a family member discovered the mother of two and the youngest grandmother passed out and called police and paramedics.
Avan died on the scene. Homicide investigators say the victim “suffered trauma to the face.”
A description of the suspect was initially not known. The investigation continues.
