SANTA MONICA, CA — The Santa Monica Pier will host another night just for locals, complete with live music, kids activities and a car show.
The festivities kick off at 3 pm on Nov. 17 and will last until 9 pm Locals will enjoy music from Westside Crew, a Los Angeles-based 10-piece band, and a number of other activities “spanning from the Merry Go-Round building , all the way to the west end of the pier,” according to the pier. The event will be family-friendly with children’s events. Student bands from Bach to Rock will also perform on Nov. 17.
Attendees will also get the chance to come up close and personal with ocean critters at a Heal the Bay mobile touch tank. The local fire department also wants to make a special appearance during the car show.
Locals nights, designed “for locals, by locals,” takes place every third Thursday of the month from September to May. September’s locals’ night featured art exhibits and local DJs. For more information, visit the Santa Monica Pier’s website.
