Can Pels sweep the city of Los Angeles?

If the New Orleans Pelicans can take care of business tonight against the Clippers, they will have vanquished the city of Los Angeles for the season.

The Pels already completed the season sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers, and will try to do the same against the Clippers tonight in the same building.

The Clippers are one of the surprise teams of the season, as no one expected them to make the playoffs with both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George out, but the Clippers are holding onto the 8th spot, 3.5 games ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans, who are currently the 9th seed.

The Pels’ magic number to make the play-in is just two games, so a win from them tonight, coupled with a losses from the Lakers and Spurs would make it official.

The Clippers have Paul George back now but have still won just three of their last 10 games while the Pels have won 7-of-10 and hope to carry that momentum into the play-in tournament.

Can the Pels get their 4th win in a row and complete the season sweep of the city of Los Angeles?

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Los Angeles Clippers: Odds, spread, over/under and best bets

According to WynnBET, the Pelicans are three point underdogs tonight on the road in LA.

Since the home team is usually spotted three points, the books see this one as pretty much a toss up.

The money lines are set at -150 for LA and +125 for NOLA and the over/under at a combined 223.5 points.

The Clippers are coming off a blowout win over the Bucks where they scored over 150 points, but I still like the under in this one, as these two teams score 217 combined on average and allow 219 between them.

I’d take the Pelicans to win outright to get the better odds and make a small bet on the under.

Brandon Ingram, CJ McCollum and Jonas Valanciunas continue to be the bedrocks of daily fantasy for the Pelicans. BI and CJ combined for 61 points in the last game and JV is a double-double machine who has been as steady as anyone in the league.

Choosing a low-cost play is more difficult, as someone new has stepped up for the Pelicans in just about every game lately. I like Jaxson Hayes in this one, as he has a favorable matchup against Batum and could rack up some rebounds and put backs.
